The Purge

For a long time I wanted to explore genuinely raw emotion with my photography. I felt I really needed to do this with someone that trusted me enough to really open up and be uninhibited by the fact that they were nude, in front of a camera and at the same time exposing their memories and pain. The muse and I have a wonderful relationship which allowed for these doors to be opened. I had asked her to think of powerful moments that really shaped who she is and find music that she associated with those memories. The resulting images are taken while she was remembering these periods in her life and reacting to them both physically and emotionally.
